Artist's Statement

| In 1978, when I completed my
elementary education, I decided that art was the venue that I wanted to
pursue. This passion for art has been a continuous part of my life and I
hope to watch it grow into a fruitful career.
Most of my paintings and drawings explore aspects of the human character and nature of the soul. Through colors, textures, and abstraction of the human figure, I express psychological states and emotions. My work further examines the human conditions of morality, suffering, and happiness. That aspect of my work stems from my empathy, my ability to read and convey feelings of the human spirit. It gives my work a purpose. I can use the two gifts as one creating "thought-food" for people's eyes. Most of my work challenges viewers not to turn away, but instead invites them to reflect upon their own internal delight. My paintings celebrate the senses, spiritual emotions, vibration and energy. My artwork, in general, praises the human interior life. I see that life as a network of energy, all connected in the Universe, in which we people make up our little galaxy within our own emotion.
