About Anne Hebebrand
Anne Hebebrand is a native of West Germany and has widely exhibited her paintings in New England and the Southeast. She has studied art in Europe as well as the United States. After attending the International School of Arts in Salzburg, Austria, Anne attended the Atlanta College of Art. She received her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from the Boston Museum School and her graduate degree in Art History from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Anne has taught art for the last twenty years at all levels and worked as Executive Director at the Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art in Augusta, Georgia. She was also Assistant Curator at the Birmingham Museum of Art. She currently serves as President of the Board at Artworks Gallery in Hartford.
An award winning artist, Anne has lived in Connecticut since 1993, where she teaches and is active in several arts organizations. Her paintings have been exhibited in Hartford, Connecticut at Artworks Gallery, 100 Pearl Street, the Greater Hartford Arts Council and Small Walls Gallery. Her work has also been exhibited at the Gallery on the Green in Canton, the New Britain Museum of Art, the Slater Museum in Norwich and at the Alexei van Schleppe Gallery at the University of Connecticut. Her paintings are in many private and public collections including Pfizer Inc in Groton and Trumbull Kitchen in Hartford.
