- I am a "self-made" painter. Ever since childhood I've had a
keen interest in the visual arts. And I've always had an aptitude for drawing and
painting.

- I was always encouraged by my family to try different media, and to
express myself without undue influence from other painters or art teachers. I work with
different techniques to depict many subjects in a variety of styles. The diversification
in my work may be the result of my interesting family background.

- My oldest brother has
described our family as "rootless" which may be reflected in the lack of a
stereotyped identity, and a rapid adaptation to new cultural environments, highlighting
the universality of my art.
